Vice President - Calen Bullard

First Sergeant (Ret) Calen Allen Bullard is a native of Corsicana, Texas. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1998. His past unit assignments include: Radio Operator, Remote Access Unit Team Chief, and Senior Transmission Systems Operator in Bravo Company, 51st Signal Battalion (A), 35th Signal Brigade (A), Fort Bragg NC; Battalion Schools Non-Commissioned Officer and Battalion Leadership Development Instructor in Headquarters and Headquarters Company 51st Signal Battalion (A), 35th Signal Brigade (A), Fort Bragg, NC; Civil Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines Civil Information Manager, and Civil Affairs Team Sergeant in Charlie Company, 97th Civil Affairs Battalion (A), 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (A), Fort Bragg, NC; Brigade S9 Non-Commissioned Officer in Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82 nd Airborne Division; Instructor for Civil Affairs Qualification course and Operations NCOIC for Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group (A); Company Operations NCOIC and First Sergeant for Alpha Company 97th Civil Affairs Battalion (A), 95th Civil Affair Brigade (A).

His deployment experience includes two deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom with Bravo company, 51st Signal Battalion (A), 35th Signal Brigade (A); three deployments to the Southern Philippines in support of Joint Special Operations Task Force - Philippines with Charlie Company, 97th Civil Affairs Battalion (A), 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (A); one deployment to Ghanzi Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division; and two deployments to Hawaii and various countries within the PACOM AOR in support of SOCPAC with Alpha Company, 97th Civil Affairs Battalion (A), 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (A). First Sergeant Bullard Retired from Active Duty Service in March 2019.

He is a graduate of Warrior Leader’s Course, Advance Leader’s Course (with honors), and Senior Leader’s Course (with honors). He is also a graduate of the Basic Instructor’s Course, Unit Armor’s Course, Tactical Combat Care Course, Wilderness Medicine Course, the Mobile Force Protection Course, Advance Negotiations and Mediations Course, Anti-Terrorism Level 2 Course, Special Operations Combative Program-Level I, Airborne School, USASOC Jumpmaster’s Course, Civil Affairs Qualification Course, and Tagalog Language Course. He also holds a certificate in Business Administration and Operations Leadership, a certificate in Leadership and Management, as well as an Associates in General Education all from Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is a graduate of The University of Charleston, West Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership.

His awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, The Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), the NCO Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star, the Iraqi Campaign Medal with Two Bronze Stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Army Service Ribbon, The Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 4, the NATO Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Combat Action Badge, the Wheeled Vehicle Driver’s Badge, the Basic Parachutist Badge, and the Senior Parachutist Badge. His foreign awards and decorations include the Philippine Bronze Cross Medal, the Philippine Army Commendation Medal, the Philippine Civil Action Metal with 2nd Service Star, and the Bronze German Parachutist badge.

1SG (RET) Calen Bullard is married to the former Candice Williams-Dailey and has two sons, Ethan and Thomas, and two daughters, Kennedy and Catherine. 1SG (RET) Calen Bullard resides in Glen Rose, Texas with his wife and two children.
